Creating A Teen Space With Walmart

Happy February! We are one month closer to warmer weather and who isn't excited about that. If you following me on Facebook you know I have been shopping home decor and furniture pretty heavily for the last few months.  My teenage son has been noticing too.  He has been asking for a good year now if I can fix up his bedroom to make if feel cozier! Lucky for him his time as arrived.

We moved to a smaller town three years ago, so home decor purchases are now mostly made online. I can't tell you what a relief it is that Walmart carries high quality brands I love online simply for the fact that if those items don't work out I can return the items to my local Walmart. Walmart has released a Shop by Style feature on their website that is extremely helpful in finding products that will match your style. I always start my home decor shopping through this feature. It is a life saver and you will feel like you are shopping at a high end online boutique. The Walmart designers have really nailed down each style nicely. Shopping for your home doesn't have to cost a ton of money if you are shopping smart.

If you think your teen doesn't care about home decor think again! My son came home from school to find this lamp on his nightstand and you would have thought I gave him Superbowl tickets. Yes, he was that excited! The Safavieh Hugo Marble 26.5" High Table Lamp features a white/black marble base that is sturdy!  This sucker is heavy and large which gives the room a manly feel. There is nothing flimsy about this lamp including the shade. The quality is impressive. If you are decorating a man's office, den or a sons room I highly recommend give this lamp a try.  My son and I both give this lamp two thumbs up.

I haven't met a shag rug that I haven't liked! Walmart has become my go to for shag rugs.  You can lay on this baby and take a nap it is so soft.  Since my son wanted a COZY room I knew a shag rug would fit the bill. Shag rugs are plentiful, but I wanted a masculine one, so once I spotted the nuLOOM Hand-Tufted Classie Shag Area Rug I knew I found a winner. For reference I did purchase the 8x10 for this room.
